The stairs inside the bell tower
I found taking this picture is quite interesting because I always want to investigate what is inside
the bell tower of Altgeld Hall. I never been up to the bell tower, so it is very excited for me to investigate the bell tower from this angel in detials. Hopfully I can climb on the bell tower to
see how they ring the bells one day at a day time.

More about Altgeld Hall:
Around Altgeld Hall:
Altgeld Hall, located at 1409 West Green Street in Urbana, Illinois on the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) campus, was built in 1896-97 and was designed by Nathan Ricker and James McLaren White of the University's architecture department in the Richardsonian Romanesque style. The building was originally the University Library, and received major additions in 1914, 1919, 1926, and 1956.
From 1927-55 it was used by the College of Law, and from 1955 on by the Department of Mathematics and the Mathematics Library. The University Chime in the bell tower, which marks the hours, half hours, and quarter hours and plays a ten minute concert every school day at 12:50 PM, was installed in 1920. The building was officially named "Altgeld Hall" in 1941.
Altgeld Hall was added to the National Register of Historic Places on April 17, 1970.

I thought this sence only appeared in my dream. I took the picture of Altgeld Hall - one of the oldest building of my university at night because it gaves me a feeling of mystery. Altgeld Hall is one of the few buildings on campus that still has light on even over 10:00 p.m. There was not anybody around there when I get there, but I was not feeling lonely. This gaint guy makes me feel like an old friend that were standing there watching me, listening to murmur, and hasten me to go studying by giving us the melody from the bell.
I took couple of pictures: further, closer and more closer in detals of Altgeld Hall. These pictures make me feel the Altgeld Hall is more
fascinating than I saw it at normal day time. My favorite picture is the one on the top of this page. I used SCN mode- Handheld Night
Scene which is specially for shooting night scenes without a tripod. It makes the camera take 4 consecutive shots. I mode made the picture looks lighter and clearer. Previously, I took a photo with out the leaves, later on, I found the hall hiden behind the leaves gave the photo a more mystery feeling. I am pretty satisfied with this picture.
A square with the Statue of Alma Mater, trees, lawn and the parterres.
